
Raw Peanut (Groundnut) and Poppy seed (Posto) cutlets
Posto/Khas Khas/Poppy Seed Cutlet is a unique snack item that can be used as a side item for your lunch also. Very tasty and easy. Badam Posto Vada Recipe is made by using the main ingredients as Raw peanuts and Poppy seed (Posto). When you do not know what to eat with Rice, Dal then make this item. Ingredients are easily available at your home. This snack item can even taste better with Odisha's famous Pakhala Bhata.Health Benefits of Peanut or Ground Nut: Peanuts are rich in protein, fats, and other important Vitamins such as Phosphorus, Niacin, Magnesium, Vitamin E, etc.Health Benefits of Poppy Seed or Posto dana or Khas Khas: It helps in digestion, and also provides nutrition to skin and hair.You can call this item Peanut poppy seed Tikki or Simply Peanut Tikki or Badam Posto Bara or Posto Bara. You can eat this with Tomato Sauce as an evening snack.
Equipment
- Mixer grinder, frying pan
Ingredients
- 1 cup Raw Peanuts
- 1/2 cup Poppy Seed
- 2 tbsp Sliced onions
- 1 tbsp Garlic and green chili paste
- 1 tbsp Corn floor
- 1/2 tbsp Besan powder
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup Oil for fry the cutlets
- Salt as per taste
Instructions
- Take one cup Raw Peanut.
- Take 1/3 Cup Poppy Seed.
- Grind Raw peanuts and poppy seed or posto dana first in the mixer just to break the particles evenly.
- Then, add some water, 1 green chili, salt as per taste, and 5-6 garlic cloves, and make them a smooth paste.
- Add sliced onions, corn flour, red chili powder, Besan, and sliced green chili into the mixture.
- Take a frying pan and add some oil to it.
- Keep the gas in medium flame.
- Take some water in your palm, take some peanut dough in your palm and give it a cutlet shape.
- Like wise make all the culets from the dough.
- Once the oil in the pan is heated then add one to two cutlets and make them fry.
- When one side of the cutlet was fried then change it to another side.
- Like wise do for all the cutlets and serve the tasty snack.
Notes
Important note for this Peanut Poppy Seed Cutlet is always use Raw Peanut to make the Tikki. Do not forget to add Poppy seed as it enhances the taste of the Peanut Tikki.
