This is quick to made, tasty besan cutlet snack recipe. Ingredients are easily available in kitchen. Besan cutlets or vadas are very very tasty and can be used as side item along with main course or lunch. Cost for this besan cutlet recipe is also very low, therefore anyone can be make.

Equipment

  • 1 Bowl To make a mixture
  • 1 Frying Pan To fry the cutlets

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Besan or gram flour Any brand besan or gram flour packet
  • 1 pinch Baking soda Very little amount needed for fluffyness
  • 1/2 tbsp Red chili powder Grated green chili also can be used
  • 1/3 cup grated / sliced onions
  • Salt As per taste by taking the mixture into consideration
  • Oil To fry the cutlets or vadas

Instructions
 

  • Take a clean bowl.
  • Pour 1 cup besan powder (gram flour) into it.
  • Add sliced / grated onions and green chilis or red chili powder into it.
  • Add pinch of baking powder into it.
  • Add salt as per your taste and by checking the mixture quantity.
  • Add water to the mixture and make a medium to low thick paste.
  • Now put the frying pan in the gas. Gas flame should be kept it medium.
  • Once the oil is heated take some paste in your hand and pour into the oil in the shape of a vada or cutlets.
  • Like wise you can keep 2-4 cutlets at a time in the frying pan and cover the lid of the pan for 2 minutes.
  • Once done, then turn another side and again keep it for 1-2 minute by covering the lip.
  • Now, open the lid and check whether the colour of the cutlets or vadas are little brown or not.
  • Then remove all the cutlets and serve on a plate. Like wise you can do the same process for all the mixture you made earlier.
  • Quick, tasty, easy and healthy snack is ready to eat and serve.

Notes

Important note : For this recipe do not keep the mixture for more time as it will release water which may not give the good taste.
You can eat this snack with tomato katchup or you can eat as a side item in lunch or dinner menu.
